UgrabIT LLC (“UgrabIT,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is an IT services company based in Reston, Virginia. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit ugrabit.net (the “Site”), how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you contact us through the contact form, by email, or by phone, we collect the information you choose to share. This may include your name, organization, job title, email address, phone number, and the content of your message.

Scheduling information. If you book a meeting through our Calendly link, Calendly collects the details you enter, such as your name, email address, and preferred meeting time, and shares them with us so we can hold the meeting.

Technical and log data. Like most websites, our hosting servers automatically record basic information when you visit or download a file, such as our capability statement. This may include your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, the page that referred you, and the date and time of your visit.

Cookies. The Site runs on WordPress, which may set a small number of cookies needed for the Site to work. If we use analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, those tools use cookies to help us understand how visitors use the Site. Embedded content, such as the Google Map on our Contact page, may also set its own cookies.

How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your questions and requests
  • Schedule and hold meetings
  • Share information about our services and follow up on business opportunities
  • Operate, maintain, and protect the Site
  • Understand how the Site is used and improve it
  • Meet our legal obligations

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these limited cases:

  • Service providers. We use outside providers to run our business and the Site, such as our web hosting provider, email services, Calendly, and Google (for maps and, if used, analytics). These providers handle information under their own privacy policies and terms.
  • Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or court order, or when needed to protect our rights, our users, or others.
  • Business transfers. If UgrabIT is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
  • With your consent. We may share information when you ask us to or agree to it.

Third-party links and embedded content

The Site links to outside services, including our Facebook and LinkedIn pages and Calendly, and includes an embedded Google Map. When you use these links or interact with embedded content, the third party may collect information about you under its own privacy policy. We do not control and are not responsible for their practices. Please review their policies before sharing information with them.

Data retention

We keep contact inquiries and business correspondence for as long as we need them to respond to you, maintain our business relationship, and meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements. Server logs and analytics data are kept according to the settings of our hosting and analytics providers. When we no longer need information, we delete it or remove details that identify you.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect the information we collect. However, no website, internet transmission, or email is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send sensitive information, such as passwords, Social Security numbers, or financial account numbers, through the contact form or by email.

Your Virginia privacy rights

The Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA) gives Virginia residents certain rights over their personal data. The law applies to businesses that process personal data of at least 100,000 Virginia consumers in a year, or of at least 25,000 consumers while earning more than half of their revenue from selling personal data. Based on the size and nature of our business, UgrabIT likely falls below these thresholds.

Even so, we honor reasonable requests to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request. We will not treat you differently for making a request.

Your choices

  • Marketing emails. If we send you business updates by email, you can opt out at any time by using the unsubscribe link in the email or by emailing info@ugrabit.net with “Unsubscribe” in the subject line. We may still contact you about an active inquiry, meeting, or contract.
  • Cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If we use Google Analytics, you can also opt out with Google’s browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
  • Providing information. You do not have to give us any information to browse the Site. If you choose not to share contact details, we may not be able to respond to you.

Children’s privacy

The Site is meant for businesses and government agencies. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date at the top. Please check this page periodically for changes.
